"Faces and Places Photographs Project"

The Faces & Places project is an initiative by the Monroe County Historical Society to encourage the community to loan photographs to be scanned. By scanning the photographs, one-of-a-kind pieces of our local history are saved for future generations.

"Doll Made in Germany"
This display is also situated in a display case in the hallway off the main History Center entrance. The doll was made in Germany ca. 1910; its Bisque head was made by Simon Halbig. Donated by Carlotta Heid Flemming in 1985.

"Trip Down Memory Lane"

An array of "mystery" items is displayed in this hallway case. Examine them and make educated guesses about what each is, and what it was used for. Answers are available in the display.

Admission to the Museum is free to members (and a number of guests depending on membership level). For the Current and Permanent Exhibits, adults' admission is $2 and for children 5 - 18 admission is $1; 4 & under free. Donations are also very welcome.

Museum Hours: Tues-Sat 10-4
