Aftermath: The Devastation of Hiroshima

After the United States dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima the work to end the war wasn’t over. Robert Clegg, Jr., a former Bloomington business owner and city councilman, was in the division of Army Corps of Engineers responsible for building airstrips that allowed the Allies access to Japan. Photographs from his personal scrapbook depicting the devastation are on view as part of this exhibit until March 5th.

The Hill Gallery is a rotating exhibit gallery sponsored by Margaret C. Hill. New exhibits are installed every 2-3 months.
