Duncan Campbell is originally from Indianapolis and has made his home in Bloomington since 1970.  He graduated with a major in history from Columbia College, Columbia University in 1968, and a Master of Science degree in historic preservation from Columbia’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation in 1993. Duncan served on Bloomington’s Historic Preservation Commission from 1992 to 2008, and co-authored the city’s Historic Preservation Ordinance.  He has been active as a board member of Bloomington Restorations, Inc., a local preservation non-profit, has served as their affordable housing construction manager and chairman of their Revolving Loan Fund Committee.  He recently completed a 6 year term on the Board of Directors of Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana, has served on the Executive Board, and been chairman of the Project Review Committee that oversees preservation loans and acquisitions for the organization across Indiana. In retirement, Duncan serves on the Bloomington Historic Preservation Commission as an advisory member, the Monroe Co. Historic Preservation Board of Review, and is an active board member of the Indiana Barn Foundation.
