Gayle Cook Junior Historian Scholarship Fund
In honor of Gayle Cook’s birthday in 2019, the Board of the Monroe County History Center, along with the staff and volunteers, created a scholarship fund to provide support for educational programs and scholarships for schools and summer camps so they may attend educational programs and workshops at the Monroe County History Center.

Travel Reimbursements
The Gayle Cook Junior Historian Fund helps cover costs for educational programs and tours for schools, youth organizations, and summer camps visiting MCHC. If funds are available, they will be applied in the following manner:
Title 1 schools in Monroe County: 100% of travel costs, 50% reduced fees
Other Monroe County Schools: 100% of travel costs
Title 1 schools outside of Monroe County: 50% of travel costs, 50% reduced fees
Other Schools outside of Monroe County: 50% of travel costs
Travel reimbursements are available for school visits. Transportation must be coordinated by the teacher.
